Eagles Nest Wilderness

Getting up early paid of with some great light for views looking west. Later in the trip, views to the east were no longer washed out by the cloudless sky.

This was by far my favorite run/hike of the trip. I felt at home in the Eagles Nest wilderness of the Gore Range.

From last night: sunset over the Tenmile Range

This morning I was greeted to a reflection of Buffalo Mountain in Lilly Pad Lake

Today's run was a loop around Buffalo Mountain, starting on the south side and going counter clockwise.

The north side of Buffalo Mountain is a lot more rugged than the south side.

Following South Willow Creek upstream..

Meadows below Red Buffalo Pass

Views of the Continental Divide.
